February rolled through and we welcomed it with open arms. Despite the storms that have been raging on outside, our team has been sailing breezily through their excellent work. The likes of which have seen the long-awaited return of MasterChef (Series 16) for BBC One, Barrymore: The Body In The Pool for Channel 4, Universal Credit: Inside The Welfare State for BBC Two, and The Unshockable Dr Ronx for BBC Three.
The Broadcast Awards is an important date in our calendar every year and this year was no exception. We were thrilled to attend and celebrate our team's successes with other talented people within the industry. We had such a good time... From the bits that we remember! Congratulations to all the winners
At the start of the month we had some inspiring news: our lovely Edit Assistant, Vlad, and his iconic slick-back hair are parting ways in the name of charity. As a birthday wish, he has decided to go bald and request that donations be made to Macmillan Cancer Support and we couldn't be prouder of him! Join us to help Vlad raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support - you can donate here and keep your eyes peeled on our social for before and after shots!
Sadly, February said goodbye to our Artist in Residence, Rebecca Strickson. We've been thrilled to exhibit her work around our facilities - her artistry has truly been an inspiration in these turbulent, political times. But, don't fret; we have another Artist in Residence on the way to bring a different insight into the world around us and we can't wait. Watch this space...
February's Employee of the Month is Online Editor, Sol Coker! Always giving that extra push to ensure his projects reach their full potential and meet his consistently detailed and high standards, we're so grateful to have him as a member of our team. On one particular occasion, Sol had to miss his weekly relaxation routine of baking sourdough in order to pull extra hours for his work. Thank you, Sol!
