We were definitely feeling the love on Valentine's Day this year. Our hospitality team created a Love Wall in each of our receptions and encouraged our Splicers to share the love with little notes of appreciation to each other, as well as keeping everyone sweet with some of their famous home-baked treats.
Considering it's a short month that certainly didn't stop us post-producing a HUGE amount of incredible content, like Fred & Rose West: The Real Story with Trevor McDonald for ITV, Skint Britain: Friends Without Benefits for Channel 4, Growing Up Gifted (Series 2) for BBC Two, MasterChef (Series 15) for BBC One, Grenfell: Did the Fire Brigade Fail? for Channel 4, Inside Britain's Black Market: Who's Selling Fake Stuff? for BBC Three and The Abused for Channel 5.
We teamed up with BAFTA's
albert scheme to host a free one-day Carbon Literacy Training at our Cardiff facility. The training provided the attendees with the knowledge and skills needed to lower their production's carbon footprint and work in a more sustainable way. Sustainability is very close to our hearts here at Splice, as an affiliate of albert ourselves, we run all our facilities on 100% renewable energy which is UK sourced and have made great efforts in the last two years to reduce our carbon footprint.
And finally, February's Employee of the Month goes to Edit Assistant Jack who handled a really demanding weekend workload, a TX critical delivery and a tricky conform all in one week. Congratulations Jack!
